Our film title : mon nouveau bestfriend (c)
The very opening of the film consists of happy, cute photos of two best friends enjoying life to the full. These photos are of Stacey and Rosie - before the replacement of a friend occurred.
The final scene is of a hand pulling open a bedside draw and reaching towards a gun of some kind. As this is the opening of a film, the first bit should capture the audience's attention, and grasp them deep into the plot so they continue watching the rest of the movie.
The very opening of the film consists of happy, cute photos of two best friends enjoying life to the full. These photos are of Stacey and Rosie - before the replacement of a friend occurred.
In the first scene the two friends are sitting on a park bench discussing minor details of their weekend etc. Further discussion continues as the camera tilts above the heads of the two girls and a car is seen driving into the car park. As a close up occurs of the driver, creepy music is playing suggesting the unwanted feeling of the person who has arrived. As the two friends get up and leave, the 'stalker' - a teenage girl named Rosie - gets out of the car and takes a seat where the friends once sat. As the pair get further away Rosie begins to follow them. The scene continues with the stalker getting in a bush to listen in on what is being said between the two friends. Rosie begins talking to herself to show her mental unstability and her jealousy for the pair in which she was once part of. The camera continues following the pair and we furthermore see the stalker keeping tabs on the actions of the two in which she is stalking. A final confrontation occurs in this scene to end it all off. Anna and Stacey (the two teen girls being stalked) are on the swings talking about Anna's life... of course... Rosie makes her first known appearance to the girls by confronting them on the playground. Stacey and Rosie are happy to see one another as they were best friends not too long ago. Anna therefore buts in and makes it very clear to Stacey - it's one or the other. Rosie is left standing alone after Stacey chooses Anna over her. A camera shot of Rosie walking away disappointed is the last piece to this scene.
Our next scene consists of a night time driving scene up a hill over looking the lights. Two cars are present, one following the other. One at a time they both pull up on the gravel. Anna and Stacey have just had a night out (a dinner date) unaware that Rosie has been following them around all evening. The camera switches between cars as a conversation develops between the pair. (Yet again of course, about Anna). A text message is sent from Rosie within her car to Stacey's phone - however Anna is the one to read the message saying "I miss you x" As Anna and Stacey agree that the text was weird... Rosie gets mad as she has overheard what the girls have been saying about her. A shot of her saying, "that bitch", and of her driving away ends the hill scene effectively as she is super annoyed and the tense atmosphere sets up for a smooth transition towards the next scene.
The next scene consists of the stalker arriving home (from the hill scene) slamming the door and walking straight towards the computer. Rosie is infuriated about the strong connection between the best friends, as Stacey has replaced her with Anna and makes a plan to get rid of her old best friend, Stacey. She stalks the photos of Stacey and Anna on facebook angrily remembering when she was best friends with Stacey. The final scene is of a hand pulling open a bedside draw and reaching towards a gun of some kind. As this is the opening of a film, the first bit should capture the audience's attention, and grasp them deep into the plot so they continue watching the rest of the movie.
